Back to the nomz…We went to Jitlada, a Thai restaurant popularized by LA food critic Jonathan Gold. Since Gold’s shining review of the establishment, it has become a mainstay in Los Angeles for those who enjoy Thai cuisine. After eating at Jitlada, there is EVERY REASON for it to be lauded as a spectacular restaurant. The dishes captured the subtlety and exquisite flavors of Thai food without the oft encountered heaviness. Everything was so delicate and delicious, from the curry (which we stupidly ordered mild, but was still really delightful) to the braised fish, the crispy duck and, one of my favorite desserts, sticky rice with mango. If you are remotely a fan of Thai food, Jitlada is an ABSOLUTE must.
